Kristen Wiig is an indisputable goddess of comedy. And this rowdy fem-friendship movie she stars in and wrote with Annie Mumolo is infused with the Wiig brand of wicked mischief. show more

A film of great hilarity, humanity, idiosyncrasy and grade-A, eyebrow-singeing raunch. show more

Those looking to get a raucous laugh should say "I do" to Bridesmaids. show more

Through it all -- the free-form conversations, the brilliant set pieces, the preposterous gross-outs, the flawless performances -- Kristen Wiig's forlorn maid of honor, Annie, seeks her own destiny with a wrenchingly cockeyed passion. show more

    Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer

Like many Apatow films, Bridesmaids has a rambling, disjointed quality, crammed with sequences that elicit laughs without advancing plot. show more

If this sounds like a typical date movie, worry not. It's very much an Apatow production-though the crasser additions, like his already-notorious food poisoning scene, feel painfully forced. show more

    Todd McCarthy The Hollywood Reporter

For longtime Wiig fans, this uneven, overlong, emotionally involving and discreetly ambitious film will represent a welcome and overdue step up from her popular sketch work on "Saturday Night Live" to something sustained and searching, not to mention pretty funny. show more

Bridesmaids is the Bride of Frankenstein of contemporary comedies, a movie stitched together crudely, and only semi-successfully, from random chick flick and bromance parts. show more

    Ella Taylor NPR

And at its loony best, Wiig and Mumolo's script hurls a torrent of bridesmaid-zilla set pieces at us, playing out like a "Sex and the City 3" read-through gone deliciously awry. show more

    Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times

Bridesmaids seems to be a more or less deliberate attempt to cross the Chick Flick with the Raunch Comedy. It definitively proves that women are the equal of men in vulgarity, sexual frankness, lust, vulnerability, overdrinking and insecurity. show more

I\'ve been so depressed lately and the only thing that has made me laugh out loud is this movie. Anyone who has ever gone through an \'identity crisis\' like Annie (and me) - or struggled so much that you feel cursed, you\'ll love this movie. My sister reminds me of Helen. She lives in CA so whenever she comes home to Ohio once a year, she can \"pretend\" that she has the most picture-perfect marriage and life. It\'s disgusting. But I\'m the one with the faithful, loving husband while hers flirts with anything in a skirt so - whatever.

I don\'t know how this move turned out to be the most hilarious movie that some people have called it. Yes, it does have a few chuckles but there are parts of it where you sit there and wait for something funny to happen. I did not expect something really funny from the Wiig who in my opinion has not been so funny on SNL, but some people think she is super funny. I don\'t ********** I don\'t want people to have really high expectation about this movie, it is a little funny but far from hilarious.

Very funny. Quick humor. I loved the scene when Annie made all those attempts to get her State Trooper boyfriend to pay attention to her.
