  • All bets are off. For my money, Vincent Gallo wins the Triple Crown of indie filmmaking -- for writing, directing and starring in Buffalo '66. show more

  • Plays like a collision between a lot of half-baked visual ideas and a deep and urgent need. That makes it interesting…and the film contains an astonishing performance by Christina Ricci, who seems to have been assigned a portion of the screen where she can do whatever she wants. show more

  • Gallo's script is quirky and filled with a number of hilariously strange comic moments. show more

My wife and I watched this mesmerizing 1998 film last night and I can\'t stop thinking about ********* a very honest, down to earth look at the struggles of a decent young man who is basically doomed from the start of his life due to a miserable early home life. Vincent Gallo is without a doubt a no nonsense film maker who\'s not afraid to push all the boundaries. The film was perfectly cast (Gallo and Ricci were both outstanding) and it\'s extremely well written and acted. It\'s the best film I\'ve seen in a very long time. Bravo!!

Great film, in spite of the low budget production. Gallo's masterpiece.
