Plot

As early as 1919, Russian Communists (then known as Bolsheviks) were convenient movie villains. This heavy-handed comedy uses the Russian revolution as an excuse for a series of slapstick setpieces. The director even finds time to showcast a bevy of bathing beauties (in Siberia?) Essentially, the plot concerns a misguided idealist who sees the error of his ways and helps to thwart the Red Menace-at least temporarily. Billed last, Louise Fazenda provides the only genuinely funny moments.
