Jeffrey Wright is brilliant, as usual. And Beyonce is magic as Etta James. This is the perfect holiday movie; it shows the triumphant beauty of the Blues against the backdrop of bitter racism. All the actors were obviously inspired--I can't wait until the Academy Awards.

If you go into this movie listening to the critics raving over Beyonce, you will be slightly disappointed. Her character was mediocre in comparison to Columbus Short (Walter). He truly made the movie. I do think that Chuck Berry's story was not delved into enough, but Mos Def did an awesome job.Adrien Brody also played the hell out of his role. Overall this movie was good and engaging.

Beyonce', Jeffrey, Adrian and all co-stars nailed their parts. I will see this movie again this very weekend. I am not easily impressed with movies, but this, in my opinion beats Dreamgirls. Scenes may have rambled, but quickly understood. Must See this touch of R&B history. Fabulous
