Well intentioned but honestly the 2 leads, who are both talented, were like cardboard cutouts with little to do but demonstrate their repressed longing for one another.

A beautiful little gem of a movie. Romatic travelogue to Egypt with great acting by lead actor and actress. The culture , emotions, contemplation, romance, danger and mystique, music..is all a big part of why I enjoyed it. It is pure escapist entertinment and had a realistic ending. Just a nice film all together.
