this movie was terrible - the story was good - but was too overacted by jolie

This movie was amazing! it might seem kind of a boring girl movie but....once it gets into the real story it blows you away. it was sad, insane, and a little scary. i cried my eyes out once it ended . but this movie is better then any other movie out right now, really... and also it gets to you when you realize it's a TRUE STORY! great movie!

This is an oscar worthy movie, one of the best movies I've seen all year. Clint Eastwood is still the Master Director and Angelina Jolie has proved her chops in this acting role. She definitely should be nominated and WIN the best actress award, there is no other competition out there so far. A Five Star Movie*****

Great Movie - Angelina is academy award performance. True Story --- hard to believe a city like Los Angeles was not interconnectd.

Gripping, emotional, beautifully filmed in the old style of movie drama, superbly portrayed, excellent cast, screenplay excellent....worth every minute.....wanted a happy ending, but life's like that...and they say Chicago cops were corrupt....let's just put away those who challenge our authority. What happened to the thought that police were here to protect us? Makes you wonder how much more of this is out there that hasn't been brought to light....and we don't really want to know, do we?

I am convinced that Clint Eastwood's primary job is to create disturbing masterpieces that tell a great American story...In this movie, based on a true story, Angelina Jolie plays an oscar worthy performance in a true period piece that unveils many issues that surround the primary story of a mother losing a son. The strength in Angelina Jolie's character on how she takes on the system is awe inspiring and should not be missed.

WHAT A GOOD MOVIE, I AGREE THAT THE FACT THAT IT WAS BASED ON A TRUE STORY MAKES IT THAT MUCH BETTER. A LITTLE KNOWN FACT IS THAT THE AREA WHERE THE RANCH WAS AT THAT TIME WAS CALLED WINEVILLE, THE CITY CHANGED IT BECAUSE OF THE BAD PUBLICITY. ITS NOW KNOWN AS MIRALOMA. EASTWOOD IS THE BEST

I saw this movie today and was blown away by Angelina Jolie's performance. She was fantastic as was the movie. Again Clint Eastwood comes thru and the whole feel of the movie took you to the twenties and what it must have been like. I came home and read as much info I could about the Christine Collins story and it appears to me that Eastwood kept to the real facts of the famous Wineville Chicken Coop Murders. Definate Academy Award performance by Jolie for best actress and Clint Eastwood for best director. Chilling movie.
