I grew up watching the "classic" monster and horror films.I enjoyed this one. Thought they did a good job capturing the cam-corder feel. As is the norm here comes Cloverfield II. Took a while getting ... going, I wanted to grab a beer and flirt with the girls. Full Review

Usually in this genre the viewer is plugged into some type of government/military facet and is privy to information. You find out (most times via some scientist ) whether the organism came from space ... or the ocean and it ends with alot of human sacrifice and the demise of the creature. Not this one. It was gritty, irritating and at times nauseating...exactly what the makers wanted you to feel. Not knowing where it came from, how it got here and what it actually is (and whether it was killed or not) is part of the experience. Being plugged into the masses running from this entity and completely ignorant to the larger picture made this a gripping piece. The effects were fantastic and the story flowed despite the chopiness of the filming. I saw it at Tysons and the sound and picture were excellent. Even in those comfortable seats you find yourself moving around alot. Good piece. Full Review
