This camera never breaks and has unlimited battery life, i mean c'mon in the 10 minutes they were in the electronics store they could have at least gotten some batteries, and are you telling me the a helicopter fall wouldn't break the camera or kill them, those were the only flaws all in all it was a fun movie

I don't really understand why people get on here and say stupid things and even profess their opinion becuase the fact is the person will either see it or not see it no matter what anyone here says... Now onto the movie. Shaky Cam = realistic. Ending = Excellent People who whine or hate it = have no tase what so ever and should go read Cinderella to satate their sad need to have "happy ending where everything is tied into a knot and finished". Btw, if you want to judge other reviews look at the screen name, if it's retarded the peson is most likely as well. Go see the movie if you'd like to experience a rare treat that won't come for years...... or miss out. 10/10

With all the previews on TV about this movie, we thought there would be more to this movie than it gave us. My husband got up and left within the first 30 minutes because it didn't seem as if the movie was going anywhere. I agree with others, where did the creatures come from, and why?

Cloverfield is not to be taken literally it is a love story, not another apocalyptic flick like most people think. At the beginning of the movie when Beth and Robert are in the apartment on (April 27 i believe) before the attack we get a good look at how cute and in love the were or are, at least at that time... the use of the camera is to record memories, so during the movie flashbacks of Beth and Roberts trip to Coney Island. Several references are made to the camera during Roberts going away party. At one point Robert says to Hod "hey dude is that my camera" "Well did you change the tape? I had something on there" obviously showing that the tape, as well as the trip meant a lot to him. As the party progresses Beth arrives with another guy. The whole swing of the party changes and becomes a little awkward since it is quite apparent that Beth and Robert had a fling.Especially after Hud announces it to half the party. Beth leaves after an argument with Robert and says "good luck in Japan" Robert shoots back a "good luck tonight Travis"(the name of the guy she brought) The last scene is the most intense and romantic when they are in the tunnel and the camera drops, because the military or the monster just hit the tunnel , he screams " i love you" and she screams " i love you too" the camera then flashes back to their day at Coney Island... very sad but it goes to show how we take time for granted and we shouldn't because it shouldn't take to the end of the world to tell someone you love them. Even if it was just a day if you feel something you should say it and not make excuses because one day it will be too late. Adrian C. Martinez.19 Denver,Co

If you didn't like Blair Witch, you probably won't like this either. In fact, I have not been this disappointed in a movie since I saw the Blair Witch

but this movie shows me there is first time for everything. Why is it that every director thinks that all home movies are made by someone who has the shakes. It is not complicated to hold a camera still. I had to leave before a puked and that was not just from shaky camera scenes but from one of the lamest story I've seen in the theaters to date.
