Great acting, based on a true story which was a VERY inspiring story. parts were a bit slow, but the movie was just beautiful :-)
An excellent film. I loved the background music. It is not a puff piece. I felt the characters as real.
Excellent movie....sub-titles were no problem....those big eyes of Audrey are soooo expressive, what an incredible look into French society of that... ra...so realistic. She was so strong, her history had forged her into steel, but with a broken heart. Full Review
The movie is in subtitles but a good movie to see. What a wonderful love story to booth! I give it four stars.
I found this movie to be inspiring and since it was a true story, it made it all the better. It was done in good taste and I enjoyed the whole movie... and believe you will, too. Full Review

The naturalism of Anne Fontaine's film would be at home in a novel by Dreiser. Her star Audrey Tautou, who could make lovability into a career, avoids any effort to make Coco Chanel nice, or soft, or particularly sympathetic.Full Review
This refreshing alternative to the usual potted biopic provides an absorbing look at a singular, steely determination as it was forged and annealed, long before it made itself known to the world.Full Review
A superior filmed biography that brings intelligence, restraint and style to what could have been a more standard treatment.Full Review
Coco is played by Audrey Tautou, and she's phenomenal--self-contained, tightly focused, sparing with her smiles, miserly with her joy, often guarded to the point of severity, yet giving off a grave radiance at every moment she's in front of the camera.Full Review
Not an expansive biopic but a fascinating snapshot of a pivotal chapter for Chanel, her formative fashionista years.Full Review
