i usually love movies like coraline. it's awesome it's cool it's facinating. but not for bad things that you're all talking about. but my favorite part in coraline is when she escaped the other mother... 's enchanted world. even when everything was all seemingly nice at first :) Full Review

These negative scared reviews are what scares me. Have you ever listened to any classic children's stories and songs. They are about all sorts of scary things. If you would rather computer generated z... oo animals with sarcastic humor and empty personalities then that is fine. But recognize that it is and always has been healthy for children to imaginatively explore and face their fears. The movie is about appreciating your loved ones and making an effort to pay attention to each other. Do you see that or were the buttons on the eyes blocking the way. Full Review

Yikes. I havent seen it yet, but all of the negative comments on this site actually have me asking one thing. Do people actually understand movie ratings? From wiki: PG - PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED -... SOME MATERIAL MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. THESE FILMS MAY CONTAIN SOME MILD LANGUAGE, CRUDE HUMOR, THEMATIC ELEMENTS, SEXUAL THEMES, SCARY MOMENTS AND/OR VIOLENCE. NO DRUG CONTENT IS PRESENT. Just becuase it's an animated film doesnt mean its automatically suited for your child. Do your homework before you complain. Full Review

I would NOT recommend this for anyone with young kids. I was skeptical about bringing my 4 & 6 yr old due to the PG rating and the mixed reviews here on this site. I should have listened to my gut a... nd not taken them to see it. Honestly, if the burlesque scene was the biggest problem I would not have an issue, but HELLOOOO??? Creepy alternate universe "other mother" wants to take Coraline's eyes and sew buttons in their place??? My kids will be having nightmares for weeks. That is way worse than the burlesque scene that everyone seems to have an issue with (although that was kind of weird too). Full Review
