An amazing funny dark story. First a word to many of the poor reviews by upset parents - stop whining - its up to you to research what you expose your kids too - this is not a movie to blindly walk into with your six year old - doing so and then posting poor comments here is not so much a movie review but a statement that you either made an innocent mistake or are a misguided parent. That rant aside - if you're a fan of the worlds created in stop-motion and love the dark and spooky - don't miss it. Not for young children but those that liked TNBC should enjoy.

I went to the box office and got my money back in the first 10 minutes of the movie. What is wrong with some of these idiots who put something off as a kids movie, when it is not. PG-13 or not. Nonsense.

Way way too scary for kids under 10. Do some serious research before you take your kids. Giant old lady's naked (but for pasties) breasts TOTALLY unnecessary. Teens and adults will like it though. Visually stunning, but... a horror movie with training wheels.

Not necessarily a childrens movie and I dont know why people thought it was. Just because a movie is rated PG dosent mean that the movie is for children. If you thought it was inappropriate for your children maybe you should have looked at some trailers before you took them. I thought it was pretty good.

I am disgusted that this movie won such good reviews from critics. It is not appropriate for children and very depressing for adults. Scenes such as a practically naked dancer and using the term dead children in a children's movie is repulsing. I am not so upset about the waste of money as I am that my children watched it and the effect it might have on other children. Don't subject your family to this trashy movie.

Horoline! Hmmm, the critics seem to think it is FINE to have an old woman sporting nothing more than a THONG and PASTIES on her FFFFF size breasts as she BOUNCES up and down? Talk about soft core porn. Are they a bunch of single, old men? And how about the MORBID violence when the "other father" says "The needle is so SHARP you won't feel a thing."? Of course that doesn't really matter as we get to wittness his watery DEATH! I'm SORRY, I was under the impression that this was a CHILDRENS' movie. I'm ticked at myself for not gathering up my children and LEAVING!!! HEY AMERICA, WHERE IS YOUR MORAL COMPASS??????

Not a kid friendly movie. I took 4 boys to see the movie and all of them including my husband and myself were appalled at one of the scenes in the movie. Thw scene included an older woman with very large breasts dancing around in pasties and a thong. I am disgusted.... and would not recommend this to anyone with children. Where is the censorship?

Loved it. It's great for fans of Mirror Mask, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Labyrinth and Alice in Wonderland. Keep in mind that some of it is dark, horrific and scary. This is kind of a horror story from a child's eye veiw. (Coraline is more or less the only one who gets to live out the little story.) But in all, if you're old enough to enjoy the movies I mentioned above and not get overly scared, it's good. Younger kids probably wouldn't understand it. I particularly liked "Other World", where most of the 3D makes its splash.
