The world lost a treasure on September 4, 2006, when beloved Aussie conservationist Steve Irwin, known informally as "the crocodile hunter," lost his life from a stingray attack. The documentary Crikey! What an Adventure: An Intimate Look at the Life of Steve Irwin carries viewers on a tour of Irwin's life and accomplishments, filtered via interviews through the recollections of his friends, family and colleagues. The program also features seldom-seen discussions with Irwin himself and footage of the wildlife expert interacting with various species. Its exclamatory title is a reference to an expression that Irwin popularized.
