Plot

Director Tom Harper's harrowing 10-minute short Cubs concerns a street gang of misguided, delinquent youths who cultivate and engage in the sport of urban fox hunting for kicks. Young Ben (Harry Eden) feels anxious to enter the clique, and will sacrifice almost anything to do so. Despite the fact that his older brother was bitten by a fox, Ben agrees to undergo the initiation process with his pal Davis (Tara Hodge), which entails teaming up with the others to corner and kill one of the animals. But he fails to grasp just how much of a personal sacrifice this will require.
