I was jolted sufficiently. The storyline had the potential to be good, but was lost on the horrible acting of the main characters. I was especially disappointed with Donnie Wahlberg's acting. I would like to find a horror film that can encompass both a good storyline, quality acting and great jolts. Is that really so hard to accomplish? If you want to be scared, you'd do good to see this film. You get what you pay for I guess.

I was expecting a movie about killer ventriliquis dolls, instead all I watched is a typical old woman ghost story.

This movie sucked and was a waste of money. Everything was so predictable. Maybe for thirty seconds out of this 90 minute movie were you somewhat scared. If you want to see it wait for HBO. Do not even waste your money at Blockbuster.

I liked this film the first time around when it was called "Magic". Oh the creative bones of writers are deteriorating with osteoporosis. Boniva anyone?

This movie is not worth seeing in the movies, wait to rent. It jumps from topic to topic and doesn't have a well formulated plot line. The story behind it is very good but was put together sloppy. The effects were okay, and it had it's moments for "scariness" but it was predictable. The movie left you asking alot of questions, like most movies nowadays. I felt the characters were not properly introduced and they didn't go into enough detail. I felt like you were just thrown into the middle of what could have been a really good movie. In other words, "it was gay."

Dead Silence is the scariest movie I've seen in a very long time! I was really impressed that it wasnt slow-moving like some horror flicks. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat in fright. The special effects are great and the dolls look especially freaky. Great twist at the end too!
