Deadrise

A routine inspection of a derelict steamship turns into a nightmarish struggle for sanity and survival in this mind-bending thriller from director Rich Brauer. Upon receiving a request to grant historic status to a decommissioned steamship, Historic Trust auditor Paula (Renee O'Connor) makes her way to the waterfront. Though Paula's initial meeting with the ship's caretaker Vigs (Larry Joe Campbell) goes smoothly enough, she begins to grow uneasy when he car refuses to start, leaving her no other choice than to spend the night in the ship's quarters. Increasingly restless as nightmares stalk her every sleeping moment, Paula soon discovers that bad dreams are the least of her worries when her once amiable host begins to reveal his malevolent true colors.
