This documentary presents the fascinating world of cells. Winner of ten international film festival awards, Death By Design uses micro cinematography to capture the life of cells, invisible to the naked eye. In that mysterious world, cells communicate with each other and create, divide, and kill themselves in accordance with the good of the entire organism. Cell activity is interspersed with images and metaphors from the macrocosm of society. Imploding skyscrapers, a hundred lighted violins, and Busby Berkeley routines artfully mimic the movements of cells in this imaginative film.
