darkjak: I accept your apology-thank you! I don't think all young people(or people of any age), are dumb, ignorant, stupid or lazy. I do think there's been a gradual lowering of standards in American education, entertainment, government, advertising, politics, morals, culture, etc. in my lifetime. Some people are ruder, less civil in thier dealings with each other. In my opinion our culture and nation is on a downward spiral. Maybe a new President and Administration will help turn thing around-I hope so. It's been a pleasure talking to you...good luck.

wow to say our education has "dumbed-down" in the past 40 years is just dumb hahaha cause every year more students are going away to college and learning actually getting an education and doing things and technonolgy is rapidly growing so obviously people are smarter then they were in the past just because they watch a non-educational movie without a meaning doesnt mean there not smart it just means they want to be entertained like darkjak said

Everybody commits crimes so everyones a criminal to a certain extent. Let's say they were athletes or rockers that were the main charecters to this movie as soon as they killed someone they'd be stained as "criminals". Ex-cons don't really have any remorse which makes them some what better for these roles.

I couldn't wait until someone finally remade this movie, but then some idiot decided to make the main characters criminals and ex-cons. What is Hollywoods obsession with the criminals. Yes they kill in this movie, but couldn't you make them atheletes or rockers. Quit glorifying crime and those who commit it.
