Most educational and a must see for those who have not yet been taught the cruelty towards the jews during WW II.

I waited and waited to see this movie and it certainly was more then worth the wait !! It was a story i knew nothing about and now that I have seen it, it is one I will never forget. 01/17/2009 SIW

The was a very good movie actually I liked it better then Gran Torino, G. T was good but the clips where put together to make you think there was more action but there wasn't. This ovie had alot of action, humor, love story, sadness, drama you name an excellent movie

I thought the movie was Great!! I did not know what to expect and I enjoyed the way the story was told. It was inspirational and moving. Of course there was conflict between the brothers, but what family doesn't have that. I am planning on seeing it again.

The true story is terrific. The movie lacked something. Comnsidering the subject matter, failed to create a truly moving depiction of the events. Probably because te movie was sooo Hollywood..with this sibling rivalry, and leader on a white horse! Was frankly disappointing--especially considering what it COULD hav ebeen. But still worth a view. I did find iot a memorable experience. There is no other mainstream movie on the subject matter.

There was a long line at the Los Angeles theater where I saw this movie. There were four of us and we all wanted to love it. We didn't. It's a good movie with an interesting story. However, there is something lacking, perhaps emotionality. When we walked out, we did not feel that we had been emotionally involved. It was good to see a story about Jews standing up for themselves. However, that's the whole plot and there is very little else. The actor's accents seemed very phony and detracted from the quality of the picture. You still might like it though.
