Displaced (2006) Synopsis & Summary

Synopsis

A humanoid alien and a British soldier team up to procure a highly classified document containing valuable information about revolutionary energy production, captured space crafts, and the extraterrestrial's imprisoned father in the ambitious directorial debut of writer/director Martin Holland. Stel (Mark Strange) is an Earthbound alien whose father Arakawa has been shot down in flight and imprisoned by a dangerous human paramilitary group known as Core. Now the only way for Stel to find out where his father is being held is to locate the much sought-after Displaced file, which contains that valuable bit of information and much, much more. When renegade special forces leader Wilson (Graham Brownsmith) comes into possession of the Displaced file, he plans to sell it to the highest bidder on the black market and make a pretty penny in the process. Implored by Stel to help him locate the file that will allow him to free his father, Private John Marrettie (Malcolm Hankey) reluctantly agrees to wage all out war on one of the most powerful paramilitary groups on the planet. - Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
