Great movie, I saw it twice, and plan to see it again!! Great plot, great action, great villains, and heroes/heroines. I'm sure this franchise will take off, like Twilight, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. I look forward to the next movie in this series.

excellent movie and shows what could happen to us "for our good!" when the government insures only the best get the best. The rest of us become nothing but puppets with a blank stare.

Horrible movie. The story was weak and had only 2 messages to convey to the viewer. 1. Women can be strong too (not really) and 2. Big Brother is always watching. This movie is obviously geared for teenage female youth to try to mislead them into believing they can physically do what men do.

Over-plotty, convoluted, full of unanswered questions and unquestioned assumptions — is a big part of the problem here, but director Neil Burger (“Limitless”) pulls off a neat trick here, in that Divergent is a pretty diverting piece of moviemaking pulled from a not-especially-good story. The strength of Burger’s movie is the fact that a non-reader of Roth’s work can enjoy Divergent and not be confused by any aspect of the storyline. Full Review

Despite two strong lead performances and a welcome dose of female empowerment, this somber tale feels too familiar and formulaic. Full Review

Too bad this would-be heir, Divergent, is so unimaginative and bland. Full Review

Divergent is less action-oriented than "The Hunger Games" but no less compelling. Full Review
