Kick ASS movie!!! GREAT FILM!!!

NO DOUBT! This movie will have you flip flopping your "doubt" and thinking about it after it's over, great acting on Merly Streep and P.S. Hoffman... one the best movies I've seen this year so far.

After seeing this film yesterday down at the UA, I decided to think a bit before posting my review. Have decided that the producers of this movie want us to think about ASSUMPTIONS. We all make them. Our basis for making them varies from person to person, alot of time based on prejudice. Sometimes depending on the intelligence of the person they are correct, other times not ? It is a joy to watch the actors play out the questions asked by this film..

Some of the best acting I've ever seen in a movie. So well-written and compelling story line. It is intellectual, but riveting. Don't shy away from this movie because of what it's about.It is character-driven and powerful. It is EXCELLENT.

Two best performances of 2008 were Frank Langela in Frost/Nixon and Meryl Streep in Doubt. See this movie for her performance. It is truly remarkable and rivets you to your seat. The thing about Meryl unlike other actors, is that she becomes the person and the line between actor and character disappears. You are drawn in to her character 100% because of her focus and truth to the role. This is not meant to be an action movie, but is based on an award winning play that is supposed to make you THINK. remember that? thinking???!!

The movie DOUBT held everyone in its seat even after the movie ended. I haven't seen a movie this good since Mystic River.

I loved this movie. Great singular speeches. MS did it right !!! Hoffman was at the top of his game.

after having seen: Benjamin Button, Dark Knight, Changeling, The Wrestler, and even Gran Torino, which I loved, this movie takes the cake. It held my interest thoroughly trying to see if what she saw was true. The spirited acting between demanding, unmerciless Streep and defensive, incredulous at her actions Hoffman was outstanding. The mother of the boy was superb. If anyone had doubts about whether the priest did or he didn't, I don't think so. The clue was when the Mother said he needed the priest, even if he was just a friend, he needed a man in his life to share his terrible burden with. How horrible a person portrayed by Streep to be so single minded as to try to destroy a person. The shame is they are out there.........
