Plot

The Evil Nappa and Vegeta arrive in the desert for a showdown with Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin. To weaken the Team Dragon Ball forces, Nappa releases the small but deadly Saibamen. The episode ends with the last-minute intervention of Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha -- and, as the title indicates, Goku is (temporarily) nowhere to be found. This DragonBall Z episode first aired in Japan on October 11, 1989, and in America on February 1, 1997.
