This film which dramatizes the tempestuous love affair between Benjamin Constant, a Franco Swiss author and statesman, and Madame de Stael was shot with a unique and innovative process. The movie was first in high-definition digital video which was subsequently transferred to 35mm. The film begins in 1794 and chronicles the 20 year love-hate relationship between Constant and de Stael with a special emphasis upon the intelligence and drive of Madame de Stael.
