So where is it in Gulf Shores ?????
Not enough Tommy Jones as McAuthor.! Instead of his underling ! It was an average movie!
Outstanding, they way movies should be made, not the crap foinsted on us today! Great story, actors, directing. Only flaw: Jones' speech was unlike McAuthor's that had elongated vowels.
I was truly disappointed in the movie, as I thought it was about Emperor Palpatine. Thanks for misleading the masses!!!
My husband and I enjoyed the movie a lot and cannot understand why some critics would give only 2 stars !!!

Director Peter Webber (“Girl With a Pearl Earring”) fills the film with conciliatory emotion and jarring vistas of post-atomic landscapes. Unfortunately, Emperor needs more good ol’-fashioned swagger. Full Review

This true-ish story adds a romantic subplot to the prosecution of Japanese war criminals by American general Douglas MacArthur, but neither the love nor the war are completely baked. Full Review

Director Peter Webber, who once mined social unease from the painterly "Girl with a Pearl Earring," is out of his depth; this is a movie in desperate need of a no-nonsense Howard Hawks. Full Review
