Synopsis

Working-class waitress Slim (Jennifer Lopez) marries the man of her dreams, a wealthy contractor named Mitch (Billy Campbell), and settles into an idyllic suburban life, complete with an adorable 5-year-old daughter. She soon realizes, though, that her husband is anything but perfect, and his abusive, obsessive behavior forces her to flee with her child. But Mitch won't relent, and Slim is forced to confront her last, unspeakable option.
