I have lauded this extraordinary film since my first viewing of it shortly after its first release. Then, and now, it is a brilliant and heart-wrenching account of a human tragedy multiplied by the millions of lives tortured or ended by the insanity and horror of that war. Critics who have anything negative to say about it, have no idea what they are talking about. I have shown the film to public audiences juxtaposed with a showing of Stanley Milgram's film on the psychology of obedience to authority, because both films deal with the same human weakness. "Hearts and Minds" will hit you at both the emotional and cognitive levels, that is, your heart and mind, and knock you out of any complacency you may still have about the unspeakable waste of war.Ken KoenigshoferSan Clemente, CA

Yes, it was a surprise. I didn't really think this movie was going to be very good, but my grandson wanted to see it so we went to see it. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. Oh, and he did too. I would recommend it.

Just saw "Evan" today. Had not read any reviews beforehand. Laughed out loud and clapped at the end. Then I read the critics reviews when I got home. Did they see the same movie?I will say it helps to know some Bible before you see it. Such as, when the Almighty appears in Evan's backseat and Evan gets a scare. The Almighty says, "That's the beginning of wisdom."Did the critics get that one? Probably not. Also, there were no "F" words. Therefore it could not be taken as a serious bit of moviemaking. You need at least 150 "F" words to win accolades from critics these days.Yes, there were some flaws but it was still a VERY enjoyable movie for me and those who saw it with me. Thanks to those involved with this project for making a profanity free movie. HalleluYAH!

There are some many reasons to run to see this movie! But the top ten list all begin with the F-WORD. FUN! FUNNY! and FUNNIEST! What movie the critics saw, I don't know, but I suspect they wrote their review before they actually saw the movie. I think rival studios pay them off. The theater was packed where I saw it and the AUDIENCE LAUGHED OUT LOUD AND CLAPPED when it was over. (And no, I wasn't in a church camp.) I suspect even the ALMIGHTY enjoyed this one and is still chuckling. Heck! Just seeing the spectacular ark which, by the way, was built to actual biblical proportions, was worth the nine dollar ticket price. Seeing it ram through Congress-PRICELESS! Speaking of the F-word--the critics should have a big red one stamped on their foreheads. May God stick a baboon up their wazoos so they can pull it out and go see it again. At any rate...their acts of randon destruction should not be heeded. SERIOUSLY! Don't wait for the DVD or you'll be so sorry you were cheated out of seeing this one on the big screen.

I say fire all the critics. They rarely have anything good to say anyway. Maybe they could get a job at Wal-Mart?

My wife, son, and I all enjoyed this movie immensely. It was a movie with values, humor, family, and terrific special effects. Please ignore many of the critics on this. I can understand that, in a lot of ways, this is an in-your-face critique of a society that has traded in values and family for success at all costs. More acts of random kindness would go a long way to addressing the issues our American culture faces.

I was hoping for the same comedic relief as Bruce Almighty but turned out to be a pointless predictable cheesy disaster. I would not recommend this movie to my worst enemy....Booooooooo

I LOVED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH! It's now my favorite next to The Lion King (one and two) actually. But just because I'm 14 doesn't mean I liked it for the animals. Don't get me wrong, the animals were great and adorable but I really loved the lessons this movie taught. When my dad first reccomended it to me, I thought it was just another stupid perverted movie that some man got God's powers and made girls dresses go up (no offense to any Bruce Almighty likers. But this movie taught the lessons of faith, never giving up, kindness towards all, God loves everybody, going for the curves rather than being businesslike and straight, and the importance of fun and family. I espeically loved that "God" said that ARK stands for "Acts of Random Kindess". It really touched my heart when "God" was showing Evan that you can do good deeds that don't have to be major to change the world by when he filled up the dogs water dish and then the dog drank it. It was also giving a powerful message we can all learn from when "God" showed Evan, Evan's old home which was once a beautiful forest and was then torn down by the lust for money and power which was man's doing. This movie was EXTREMLEY AWSOME.
