very bad; was it suppose to be funny?

Horribly disappointed. Huge Kristen Wiig fan and found this soooo boring, I actually dozed off during the showing. NOT funny. Waste of time, waste of talent, waste of money -- watch SNL instead.

Save your money. Very few laughs. These actors were working with a weak plot. This movie will vanish from the theaters quickly. The word of mouth will not be kind

And, am I wrong or was that Mike Judge himself playing "Jim" (the long-haired, cap-wearing guy on the plant floor who helps plot the "strike")? He sounded almost exactly like Hank Hill! :-)

It's funny quick humor will have you laughing and relating to a lot of the story line. You will love this movie. Better than anything showing at the commercial theaters.

Pretty funny in spots although it loses momentum at end.

Loved it. We giggled again and again...Gene Simmons' small part is a riot; Affleck is terrific; Bateman is likable in a leading role. It wasn't sophomoric in its comedy--perhaps that's why so many reviewers have said negative things. It was very funny, and while the storyline was simple, it was a very entertaining way to spend 90 or so minutes.

Out of the 3 movies released this weekend (Gamer, and All About Steve) this movie was by far the best movie released. Here is fair warning for those not familar with Judge's past work (like Office Space). Extract offers the same quirky humor we have come to expect from Judge. I would recommend this movie for anyone who enjoyed Office Space, or Arrested Development. Jason Bateman played his role (Joel) to the hilt. He is the grounding rod of this story. When things seen too far out there he quickly brings us back to reality. Ben Affleck (Dean) does a meger job with his one dimensional character and is easily upstaged by the rest of the supporting cast. In summation this movie is not for everyone, but can offer a great escape and simple laughs for those looking for a matinee movie.
