If the people involved in this project had wanted to tell the truth about Edie, they would have corroborated their "facts", which they clearly did not. \n\nLet's see now... Edie was never a heroin addict. They forget to mention she was bipolar years before the syndrome was accepted in the United States. Her brothers, Minty and Bobbie, and her father never molested her. She was bulimic, not anorexic. Minty was heterosexual, not homosexual. Bobby's death was an accident. Edie's death was an accident. Her maternal grandmother never drank alcohol. Her parents and her siblings never abandoned her. Her mother was never institutionalized and she is buried right next to Edie. Edie never had a 'ring' from Dylan.\n\nShe was never pregnant by Dylan. She was never in love with Warhol or Dylan. She didn't have electroshock therapy until the last two years of her life. Edie was horrified about Vietnam and constantly in fear that her brothers would be sent to war. The list of misrepresentation goes on and on and on.\n\nMost of Edie's family and friends refused to participate in this movie. Jean Stein refused to seel the rights to the memorial book on Edie to the makers of this movie.\n\nCan I give a minus five star opinion of this supposed "biopic"?

In the beginning it seemed to be a little slow moving , but quickly after it took off and I found myself intrigued by the times it was suppossedly part of. The sad part is that it moved me so that the next day I wanted to find out more about Edie.Unfortunately Warhol has blocked her out of his past of which she seemed to be such a part of. If you are a hippie or flower child raised , or you experienced those times it makes for good watching .

I didn't intend to see the movie when I first saw the trailer but was curious about the culture from which it was spun. I'm glad I took a chance on it because the content and characters were fascinating and well acted out. You must be open and aware of the struggles of the art world when it was breaking out to different realms. I found myself in awe as the movie progressed. Very emotional scenes! I liked the way the characters were defined but still had mystery looming among the multiple relationships of the main characters. You know how some movies either give you too much or not enough...this flick was just RIGHT! It made me want to do additional research on the characters and dig deeper to really try and establish the relationships between all the characters. Matter of fact, think I will do that now. Go see the movie or wait til it hits the video store, just don't miss out on it! Kudos to Sienna and the rest of the cast!

i was completely capitvated by this movie. i found it to be extremely fascinated. i left the movie in a state of shock and awe. sienna miller portrayal of edie sedgwick was fantastic especially considering the demands of the role. i think guy pearce did a fabulous job of playing andy warhol, but i think it was the mistake of the director to portray warhol as such a cut and dry character who was purely evil. warhol was a complex person, and i would have liked to have seen more of that in the film. hayden christensen had the difficult role of playing a major icon in every sense except for the name. i think the fact that legal issues can get in the way of making a true character is extremely sad. i also feel like the director did a poor job of really capturing the whole atmosphere of the sixties underground scene. so in sort, amazing acting, fabulous characters, fascinating story, but the directing left something to be desired. the end.

I will be honest I only went to see Hayden Christensen who apparently was in the who movie for 20 minutes.....sad story about a young lady lloking to be loved!!

Drugs and Screwing That's what this sick movie is about. To me I want both my time and money back. No way can I recommend anyone see this.

I normally agree with critics' opinions, but not on this film. I think any film that provokes thought after I've left the theater is a good one, and Factory Girl certainly does that. The movie is not for everyone, because it deals with drug addiction and the amoral world of "artists at the edge". But more importantly than this, it deals with the choices we make in life, and their repercussions. 4 stars for a terrific film with great performances by Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce.
