  • At least the film has a sense of humor and a degree of energy... [but the] film never carries any of its characters or situations much beyond weary cliche. [10 Sept 1982, p.29(E)] show more

  • If the publicity release can be believed, he worked an entire year "undercover as a student to research teenage life". On the basis of what surfaces here - one stock phrase (the kids say "Go for it]" a lot) and a multitude of stock characters - Crowe might better have spent the time curled up with re-runs of Ozzie and Harriet. Give this intrepid researcher 12 months at General Motors and he might just discover the wheel. show more

  • Sean Penn's scenes are still so stunning...His Jeff Spicoli is an unabashed kick every second he is on the screen. show more

OMG! I can\'t believe Fast Times is back on the big screen. I worked as an extra on the movie for three days...The \"carrot stick\" scene and the \"Hey dude, I know that song\" dance scene. Too fun. There are several versions of the movie. And if you notice Nicholas Cage is listed as Nick Copola. (sp?)

Simply one of the best movies of the 80s. Really captured the 80\'s as well as any. The only one to rival this movie is \"Vally Girl\". Only Ridgemont had Phoebe Cates! She was the subject of many boy\'s as well as MEN\'s dreams! The soundtrack rates as one of the best ever. What a GREAT FLASH BACK TO MY MORE SIMPLER & FUN TIME OF MY LIFE!

This movie is so much how it really was to be in High School in 1982.I was part of the Jeff Spicoli clique with the innocence of Stacy when it came to dating. The only movie that is even close to my top 10 during that time is\" Valley Girl\" with Nicholas Cage!! Oh one more thing, I still think Vans are Awesome and Love the Beach!!
