Plot Summary
On the morning of his birthday, Jake Gibson (Cam Gigandet) reads a horoscope that predicts he will have a perfect day. Unfortunately for Jake, the opposite happens. Now determined to prove that astrology is pointless, Jake sets out to find the three people who were born at the same time and place as himself -- Sarah (Jena Malone), Yvette (Brooklyn Sudano) and Wesley (Max Hartman) -- and test his theory by finding out if their birthdays were as horrible as his was.

  • Gigandet, whose star has been rising thanks to his roles in such films as "Twilight," "Burlesque" and "Easy A," delivers a sensitive portrayal that proves he's more than just a hunk. Malone is as appealing as always, and Hartman is wonderfully fun as the Buster Poindexter-like singer. But the script lacks the depth to transcend its cutesy gimmick. show more

    No point in watching it. Even if you are obsessed with astrology, you won\'t find anything interesting.

    If I was one to listen to the film critics, I would have never have gone to see “5 Star Day”. Thank God, that’s not the case. I thought the film was very well made, thoroughly enjoyable and had me leave in a feel good mood with its happy ending. Truly it’s a good date movie which should be seen on the la
