Who killed the shooter? I can't figure it out?

This movie was so bad that not only did it finally go directly to DVD, but now they've even changed the name! Goodbye, "Winged Creatures". Hello, "Fragments". Dakota Fanning did this film because nobody wanted her for anything else after the "Hounddog" obscenity. And she gave such a bad performance here that many of her scenes were deleted from the final cut. Her jealous tantrums over Josh
