It changes the view and stereotypes that too often apply to these young adults. Very moving, gets a good point across. Hilary Swank is astonishing.

The school that she taught at was in South Long Beach and was not a "dangerous" high school. PLEASE! It irks me that she presents her story as if she taught in an inner city school. IT was NOT! The students wore uniforms and it was a "Classical High School". THe students in her class WERE bussed from North Long Beach, but the school and the area was not bad at all. It had the wealthiest and best neighborhoods filtered into it.Teach at Washington Jr. High Erin- THAT is inner city Long Beach.
