This movie was horrible. The plot of the movie seemed like Jason was trying to protect his pot from being smoked by a bunch of teenagers. Anyone got near Jason's pot, he would get cranky and start killing. They made Jason seem to human, and like in one of the other reviews I read, Jason would never let anybody live!

WASTE of money. If you are going to add in a bunch of nudie shots - WORK IT INTO THE PLOT. I would rather do homework than watch this movie.

The movie was a waste of money. I love scary movies but get scared really fast (yeah I admit it) and I wasn't scared once. it was VERY predicable and cheesy. Nothing popped out and there was really only about 3 times that was really bloody (if that's what you like in a scary movie). scary movies are getting worse and worse =0(

I have to agree with Aahtue 100%. This remake had no bones! I was truly anticipating a remake with depth and weight. But all I got was shallow fluff. Bay's remake of the Chainsaw movies had me on the edge of my seat but this remake just felt more like the later 13th movies where there's an equal ratio of comedy to horror. Not what I was expecting.

This movie sucked and never needed a remake. Also, the character were very annoying and it was a total waste of money.

Any movie, regardless of it's genre, that has a well written plot, good cinematography, and well executed story structure and characters is a movie worth the price of admission. With that said, Friday The 13th is a movie that should have never been rebooted to theaters, especially without seriously redeveloping it's main character and storyline. While the murder scenes were decently done to an extent, there were no sense of character developement here. The movie's storyline could have been alot more sharper, and more serious in it's dialogue. Unlike previous remakes such as Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where the main character was given a certain sense of being human beings, you were exposed to why and how they became so disfunctional, Jason was not given that depth of developement. And in this remake, Jason feels more like a character that's just there. And when he's not in a kill sequence, you won't be impressed much by his presence. The end will definitely leave you scratching your head and maybe even feel embarassed that you paid your money to see it. This movie could have been much more than what it is. It feels too rushed with too many moments that'll piss you off and make you go "what tha.." throughout the movie. There are those who are going to like, not love, this movie simply because of their anticipation to want to see what Michael Bay and Marcus Nipsel bring to Jason Vorhees, which isn't a whole lot. And there are others who will leave the theater second guessing why they even wasted their time and money. The first two original Friday The 13th movies summed it up alot better than this, and actually still has much more bite than this remake. And in this case it's best to leave well enough alone. I can only hope that with a remake of Nightmare On Elm street (yes it is coming), whoever it falls in the hands to, will not make the same mistakes and misteps as Bay and Nipsel.

I'm a huge fan of the series. This was highly disappointing. They didn't really explain the history and the group of teenagers were highly annoying. Also Jason would have never let anyone LIVE!
