This is an awesome series. It has all the fantasy, intrigue and diversity of characters that anyone could possible want. Sean Bean's character is... noble, kind, forthright and principled. He has his flaws and has made his mistakes but he tries to live up to the expectations of his family and friends. In a world where principle means nothing, he is an island. The politics, double dealing, backstabbing and overall dishonesty of the people who surround him put him at a severe disadvantage. He believes in doing the right thing by his family, friends and anyone who has been unjustly dealt with. I am extremely disappointed that his character was dispensed with in the 1st season of this series, which undoubtedly has many seasons to come, because he gave hope that good would overcome evil. I hope his sons and daughters will do him justice! Full Review
