This movie did so poorly at the box office. Godzilla always had limited box office appeal, but this movie and the Hesi/Milentium Films afterward all... prove that. They all floped and went straingt to DVD. Full Review

Sorry to say even Godzilla's most loyal supporters found it difficult to enjoy this movie, as it moves very slowly, and still pretty much has the... e effects that were used in the 50's and 60's films. I guess it can be said that the 50's and 60's Godzilla films were enjoyable because they were made in the Drive In Theater era and were often shown on double bills with other movies. It worked then, but it does not work now, and so Godzilla really has no place on the big screen anymore, That's not putting them down, it just is truth. Full Review
