Who would have thought Ben Affleck could direct? This is a film made for people who appreciate good good filmmaking. If you need non-stop action and limited dialogue to keep from falling asleep, rent The Transformer movie.

Decent people were leaving the theatre because of the F language. I would guess there were close to 100 F words (also several Mother F's) Using C also was not necessary. Shame on you!

Gone Baby Gone is well done, and the actors do an excellent job of getting their point across.I found myself jumping more than a few times, during the action.The twists and turns of the plot, keep you pretty much guessing until the end.Although one doesn't necessarily agree with the outcome, it serves to teach the lesson that what is legally right and just isn't always morally so.Great movie! I walked out after 15 minutes of it. Every other word was the f word. It looked like the story would have been good without all the foul language. I can not understand why that cursing is necessary. They didn't have it years ago and the plots were great without it.

Movie was very good.but Disturbing at the same time..Made you think alot>and feel..>.Acting was Fabulous..

This is the truth. I fell asleep after the first 15 minutes and woke up near the half-way point. I don't know nor care about this fillm because it failed to grab my attention. Casey Affleck has a terrific publicity agent. He is not a great actor. He is a skinny geek who has a genius for talking in a comatose monotone. He is the sole reason I fell asleep. By the way, he's even more sleep-inducing in that "Jesse James" bomb. This is not the worst film of the year, but it is definitely the worst year ever for films. I'm tired of being ripped off by something that was put together with the help of tokes and snorts, then passed off as 'art'.

Gone Baby Gone was great on so many different levels. Not only is it entertaining to watch, it stimulates the viewer intellectually and makes you question the variousmoral dilemmas brought about by each character. They are,wide-ranging, giving one much to think (and talk) about. My respect for Ben Affleck, which was previously very small, has increased ten-fold. His native roots proved to put this movie at the top of all Boston movies. I don't care what other veiwers wrote about the foul language. The over-usage of the F-word captures the spirit of the world he presented so perfectly. There wasn't a dull moment. The acting was phenomenal, as every character did an excellent job portraying whatever ethical issue they were faced with. This was especially true of Amy Ryan who played an unlikeable person to perfection. It will be a disappointment if this movie is not nominated for a few oscars. Good job, Affleck brothers!
