I had a hell of a time with this movie. I'm not sure if the audience was suppose to laugh half as much as they did. I really found it creative on the realationship between Clint Eastwood and the boy. You can tell he really liked making it. He managed to tackle every racial slur in the book lol. I enjoyed the neighboorhood feel to it. I definetly give it a recomendation.

Clint Eastwood is just playing himself, the self righteous bigot that he really is in real life.

This is one of the best dramatic/realistic movies I have ever seen. It truly touches the heart, and Clint Eastwood was fantastic in the movie. Don't miss out on this masterpiece!

I really love givin clint eastwood a good review but this movie bored me to tears. The whole movie you thought Eastwood would start shooting up people. It was extremely boring. PS... dont go into this movie stoned.. IT SUCKS SO BAD

Saw "Gran Torino" last week and cannot understand why the 13-hour snooze-a-palooza, aka, "The Terminally Incurious Benjamin Button Steals the Identity of Forrest Gump and Meets Joe Black" got (I was gonna say 'earned' but, it earned nothing) 13 Oscar noms and Eastwood's film was shut out. At the very least, the song that plays over the end credits, written by Clint and sung beautifully by Jamie Cullum, is THE BEST SONG FROM A MOTION PICTURE in years! It is also one which will be around forever. As much as I liked "Slumdog" and it's killer tuneage, and Peter Gabriels's song from "WALL-E," those songs aren't in the same league as "gran Torino." Someone wrote on another blog that "GT" received no acclaim because it wasn't politically correct enough for the Academy. If it were, would it be the same film? I think not.

Absolutely vintage Eastwood. Amazing how he came into the movie industry a Hero and leaves a Hero. Saw it twice and will buy a copy. This is one that will become a classic film.

Excellent movie. Eastwood is, as usual great, but the little Vietnamese girl and her brother steal the show. Eastwood does however deserve an Oscar. Really good film...and while I don't say this much...its worth the money.
