The 2nd movie is PAINFULLY boring

I've been to thousands of movies in my lifetime ... some good ... some great ... and some not so hot! No matter what, I've always given them a chance and stayed until the end, if for no other reason that the "movie experience". For the first time in my life ... I actually walked out of a movie before it ended. I walked out on Grindhouse. I've never been so disappointed or disgusted with a movie in all my years. And, I never looked back.

Why soo much hype? These were just a new presentation of old ideas. The first film was entertaining and of course total fantasy but directed goringly well. I had to get up and LEAVE 30 minutes into the second film as it Haddent Done ANYTHING To that Point!!!!!

Both were fairly clever homages to the 70's films of their ilk. There were quite a few funny moments. I was a bit disappointed in both films, probably just based on high expectations. It was a pleasure to see two action/horror films completely devoid of computer generated effects. Definitely worth the price of admission for anyone who knows what they're in for, but both films will be quickly forgotten. Overall, a fine effort by two great film makers, but I have no desire to see either a second time. I preferred Rodriguez's Sin City by far to Planet Terror and doubt if Tarantino will ever surpass Kill Bill I

First of all, Yes I understood what they were going for in this three hour waist of my time. Now that's out the way ... this movie sucked BIG ONES. The actors were about dead on I guess{and thats not really a good thing.}I think Tarantino and Rodriguez however did a great job recreating those awful, low buget, crappy movies from yesteryear. They did such a good job, that they too created an awful, lowbuget, crappy movie. Well it all boils down to something a wise man once told me,"Tries as you might, you cant polish a turd....

totally retro, even the ads, I felt like I was a kid in the drive-in again and it was 1966 or there's about. As for the movies, totally retro again the classic horror movie of the 60's they both of the were good, I wanted to see the villian in the second movie "get his" (kurt russell)the bad guys are so bad, evil, and for the most part pretty ugly! it was worth the ride.

Did I watch the same movie as these people (the critics)? The first movie was pretty good, but the second was awful. What was QT thinking? Some people didn't realize it was a double feature and left after the first.... man I wish I did too, that was a waste of 1.5 hrs! I did enjoy how the movie was done, with previews and such, but I would not ever recommend this movie. That is the last time I go to see a movie because of a high critic review.

I was dying to see this. But the first film is much too long. The "joke" wears thin after about 45 minutes. Once you get to the second film, Tarantino's, any pacing is completely lost. The whole thing seemed like being lost in Times Square and I was completely exhausted afterward. I think it will be much better on DVD. Much.
