This is one of those tragic tales where a movie is so amazing it captivates everyone who sees it. But no matter how great it is, its all about timing, and they studio was stupid enough to release this great film on easter weekend, where people go see family flicks with their children like meet the robinsons and are we done yet(whats wrong with u ppl?) then even if you have adults who want something to see theyre not going to watch a slasher blood fest on easter weekend, theyre going to want comedy cuz...well...its easter. And now everyone is going to have the impression that the movie is really bad just because it didn't pull in huge numbers so wont bother seeing it the following weekend or the one after that. This is two different but great films made by two passionate and talented directors. See this for the expdrience it gives and love it! Save this movie!

It's like nothing you'ever seen. Every bit crazy and gorey, as you would expect; but well worth the ticket price. Unfortunately, today's average, run-of-the-mill movier goer is not sophisticated enough to enjoy these satires - but in Hollywood, the crowd was cheering and laughing - opening beer bottles (I could hear the fizz in the dark and wished I had brought one, too!).I ALSO saw BLADES of GLORY and it was hysterical - but Will Farrell, like Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn; Nicolas Cage - are the same guys in EVERY movie they do.No changing, no depth - you could mesh all their movies together and wouldn't know the difference...even so, I do go out see every movie they do.I think Grindhouse deserves a second chance. Let the movie studio do a RE-RELEASE - with more commercials more airtime - there are too many stupid, suspense movies coming out with Hillary and Halle. Hang in there!!!

I'll put it as simple as this. "Planet Terror" while obsecenely gory and a tad bit overly aimed at genitals, was entertaining and it kept me very interested throughout the film. The same cannot be said for "Deathproof." I consider myself a Tarantino fan, but this part was a waste of my time. Tarantino tried WAY too hard to be, well, Tarantino. He tried too hard to squeeze in clever, quotable dialogue that he forgot he still has a story to tell. The whole first 20 minutes were completely useless and there is a 15 minute discussion between girls that has absoultely no purpose aside from trying to garner up quotable dialogue. There will be no "royale with cheese" or "why i dont tip" again. Just write a movie Quentin. You know, advancing the plot, entertaining your audience. I give PT a 9/10, DP a 5

Come on people this is film making at it's finest, I seen this film 3 times in it's opening weekend and let me tell you everyone in all three showing stood up and cheered, as did I, I know the critics don't always get it right (especially this year) but they were right on this one, especially if you like Tarantino and Rodriguez films!!!!!!

Planet Terror was pretty good, not great, but I enjoyed it. The fake "Machete" trailer was hot and I'd actually liked to see the full length movie. Quentin's Death Proof was had one good scene that lasted about a minute. The rest of the movie was filled with pointless idol chatter that got boring REALLY fast. It made the movie seem really long and I couldn't wait for it to be over after having already sat through a good movie that was pretty satisfying.

These films were not at all what I thought they would be...I thought they would try to be scary but they both were completely fun. The style was amazing and I loved the fake movie trailers in the middle....lol...they were hysterical(especially THANKSGIVING). I love the cinematography. This was the most fun I have had at the movies in a long time. Go see it...need I say more?

I hated the first one, just too over the top violent and stupid for me. The trailers in the middle were entertaining. The second movie was pretty good but had too much dialoge before the action scenes. It was way too long. It was 3 hours plus the previews before the movie. Ugh
