This movie had a lot of potential. The character Hancock is introduced in a thought provoking way, and you think the movie is going to to explore the character in a more fleshed out fashion. The whole premise and underlying story are good, but unfortunately this film seems to suffer from Summerblockbusteritis, where ambitious directors neglect their writers to afford one more badass explosion. It's unfortunate because it starts so well, but I found myselfcaringless and less as the movie went on. Perhaps in 20 years someone will do this underdeveloped movie justice. Also, as an aside, I would have named this film Footpenis.

Its black Superman meets long lost blond Super Girl spouse...interracial couple...for that effort, it fell flat in light of "Guess Who is Coming to Dinner" who came 30 years before...As for story lines, it make little sense at all...unless you are Will Smith fan...its a disappointment!

This movie was very good.... It had the comedy expected from will smith, the drama needed for story and very unexpected twists that left me hoping that this movies originality sets a new genre of more realistic (or humanistic) superheroes.

Fantastic movie and very entertaining. Will Smith gives a great performance and provides a humanistic side to the super hero

I was pleasantly suprised by this movie. It kept me well entertained and had an interesting storyline.

This movie was alright it wasn't that funny and the action was sourt of lame. He was like an ultimate super hero. The plot sourt of made up for it. I didnt really care for the movie because I'm not a Will Smith fan he's just not funny to me. His sense pf humor is to dry and sarcastic for me.
