Happy Go Lucky (1942) User Reviews

I saw this movie on a Saturday night at Lincoln Plaza. The 7:15 show was sold out - this was the later showing. It was fun to see it with this audience who laughed - or guffawed - continually throughout the movie. The lead actress is very talented. It is funny throughout but has the underpinings of a tragicomedy. The heroine stays serene throughout, and is a genuine example of a happy-go-lucky person and how her attitude keeps her afloat. This movie has depth as well as humor - I give it an A+
