This film was entertaining but the action weakend and the flow slowed down again. Many great secrets were revealed but the action slowed down.... g a dark sider to kill a nice character was sad but is perfect because Harry will want revenge! This was a 3/5 film and hope Part II is better. Full Review

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 also bravely faces the future, slipping with expert ease among the thrilling mass of complications (and complicated set pieces) that Rowling throws fans in the final sprint, then guiding the faithful to the fate that awaits everyone in this world, the moment called The End.Full Review

There is suspense and action in this film, but there is also lots of room for emotion, and for the audience, a satisfying build up to next summer's grand finale.Full Review

Alternately funny and touching, it's the best film in the series, an "Empire Strikes Back" for these wizards and their wizarding world.Full Review

Menacing and meditative, Hallows is arguably the best installment of the planned eight-film franchise, though audiences who haven't kept up with previous chapters will be hopelessly lost.Full Review

For those familiar with the novel, the tragic tenor of this installment appears as if it will complement the toward-the-light euphoria of the series' finale. You can't help but feel, however, that the inevitable happy ending (which is a bit much, even in print) can't possibly do justice to the more melancholy moments, which are the true strength of the movies.Full Review
