Plot

Director Nobuhiro Yamashita creates this low-key drama about low-lifes in Osaka. A "yankee boy" who sports an outrageous pompadour, the film's protagonist dubs porn tapes for a living. When he meets up with a young pachinko attendant, he ushers him through Japan's slacker netherworld. Hazy Life was screened at the 1999 Vancouver Film Festival.
