Hellboy II: The Golden Army User Reviews

As sequels go, the new "Hellboy" film is farily decent. The real stars of this movie are the Art Director, Visual Effects people, and Makeup artists as everything looks amazing. If not for the look of this film I would have been bored out of my mind. The story is very simple and drawn out, and for the occasional blurry fight sequence, this is nothing more than a magnificent art gellery of what fantasy films should look like.

I found this movie to be poor. the first hellboy was great but this was kinda boring.

It's a hit! I loved the first Hellboy and this one is just as good - if not better., Don't miss it on the big screen!!

I absolutely loved this movie!!!! It didn't have as much action in it as the first but it had more humor which I enjoyed more. They did a fantastic job with this sequel!! :-) Most of the time the follow ups to the movies are not nearly as exciting as the first movie but I LOVED IT!!!!! This is one of those movies that I could watch over and over again and never get tired of!!!

I found this movie awesome. It may have been corny in some parts, but hey it gave some humor to it . I love it just as much as the first movie.

This film cements my admiration for the work Guillermo Del Toro. His understanding of the world of fairy and the diminished place of fairy tales and the creatures who inhabit these 'blessed' lands is remarkable. The loss of this other world diminishes us all.As for the film, it is a truly amazing ride. The characters have been given more depth and the tales flows well from one scene to the next. The antagonist Nuala is a tragic figure who sees what is happening to his people and fights back with what he has at his disposal. But, he is sense of morality has abandoned him making for a complex and ideal opponent for Hellboy and his companions.
