  • Hellboy is on fire with scares and laughs and del Toro’s visionary dazzle. It’s the tenderness that comes as an unexpected bonus. show more

  • A perfect fit in the category of instant classic, and, not incidentally, fits the profile of super-profitability. Bursting the bonds of its genre, Hellboy fills the screen with gorgeous imagery, vertiginous action and a surprising depth of feeling. show more

  • The film - despite being a half-hour too long - is a rocking, rolling supernatural spectacle. show more

The movie was a movie that I know was going to be good. The Characters were well developed, Ron Perlman's Hellboy was awesome and funny, and the Action scenes were really cool. Only one problem, to me the sequel was better but I give it a strong 4 and a half out of 5.

As a superhero devotee, I like almost all superhero movies, their comics, and anything that is about heroes. And Hellboy is one in my list (I have buncha my fav heroes too!!)! That movie is sure is awesome (and the second one is great, and a much better- check out his Big Baby!)! Hellboy's a red demon who was rescued by the US gov't to the Earth from the Nazis and hired as a BPRD detective. Plus, he has a heart of gold! And I read his comics too (as always). I course Ron Perlman was a great match for him. He fights evil! And I love the way good monsters beat other monsters (just like the Hulk vs. Abomination). Anyway. That movie ROCKS!
