The debut feature from writer/director/actor Jean-Claude LaMarre, Higher Ed stars rapper/actor Pras as Ed Green, a young track star from New York who jumps at the opportunity to accept a scholarship to a quaint Southern college. Unfortunately for Ed, his big-city problems follow him to his new small-town life. Also starring Aries Spears, Hill Harper, and Leila Arcieri, Higher Ed premiered at the 2001 Urbanworld Film Festival.
