Sometimes I wonder where these dark murder mystery films derive their plots! The accents and scenery of this Belgium city plus twisted endless turns make this a better than average film. Thank god for the Golden Globes otherwise I might have never seen this film. Colin Farrell didnât win me over with his acting because he could shed a few tears, and I sure hope he didnât LIVE! Rather actor Brendan Gleeson made this movie worth seeing at least once!

So slow and boring...felt like I was in Bruges, without the architecture.

I don't know what there is to love about this movie. It was slow moving and boring. Colin Ferrel's acting was the only redeeming quality. The story was sick, and all four of us that saw it together really hated it. If you get your kicks out of seeing really bad people get shot and bleed all over the place, maybe it's for you. NOT FOR US.

Liked this movie, didn't love it, but was hoping to. It moves a little too slowly. We did laugh though and enjoyed it, just not as much as we thought we would. Colin Farrel is very good as is the rest of the cast.

Oh, are us film lovers lucky. If "In Bruges" is any indication of what to expect from director/writer Martin McDonagh in the future, we are in for a wonderful ride. Not since the brilliant Coen Brother's debut feature "Blood Simple" arrived have I see such a terrific debut. It's all in the script and McDonagh's playwriting has delivered a brilliant one.. It is oddly very real and believable, but like the brothers Coen it has a dark comic and twisted edge.Literate by all means and for those of us cinephiles who love language, it is a joy. The plot and characters surprise and amuse. The acting is superlative. Not a big fan of Collin Farrel before; he has won me over in this film. This guy can really act.His performance is low keyed perfection. Brendon Gleeson is unsurprisingly great as is Ralph Fiennes. A terrific adult film that may stay in your mind and force you too to write a review.
