I took my 14yr old daughter and we absolutely enjoyed this movie! The acting was of course excellent with such a stellar cast but the story was charming and engaging as well. I would recommend this primarily for 8-15 year olds or anyone who loves books and the imagination to enjoy them. Go open minded and you won't be disappointed.

This was a good movie and worth seeing. I was not at all bored with it and you can take the kids to see it with you. I am happy with the story and the acting and hope to see a sequel.

Very good movie-well worth the money. Nice to watch a movie without the swearing and nudity. Great plot and story line.

Over all this was a good adventure flick. Did not read any of the books so I was not disappointed. I don't like stupid characters so the girl, father, and writer irritated me a bit with their stupid judgment. The old lady and the Aladin like characters were my favorite probably because they were smart and witty. I would see it for some light adventure and pure entertainment value.

The Inkheart trilogy is probably my favorite series of books. Cornelia Funke is a genius. Anytime someone loves a book the movie adeptation is going to fall short of our expectations. However, even though they changed a lot of the scenes from the book I believe they still did a great job with the movie. The characterizations were dead on and they actors they picked to play them were perfect. The only huge downfall is that the ending is so "fullfilling" that it seems as though they are not goint to make Inkspell and if that is the case then I will be very disappointed since Inkspell is my favorite of the three. Overall it was very enjoyable.

I was really excited to see this movie. I have read the book and the movie wasn't as nearly close to the book. It still held the elements, was a great family film, the plot was good, had emotion, had great scenes, but many things were changed around and missing. The actors they picked were very good actors / actresses. An I would say that your kids will enjoy this movie, and if you have read the book you will probably find disappointment like I did. But I would still go an see it, everyone is different at judging movies. Lets just hope InkSpell won't be a disappointment.
