Plot Summary
In 1911, a confused and fearful Native American teenager (Devon Ericson) is found on a San Francisco ranch. Anthropologist Benjamin Fuller (Dennis Weaver) travels to meet the young man and quickly realizes he is the last remaining member of a heretofore unknown Native American tribe. Fuller studies Ishi's language and stories; as Ishi (Eloy Phil Casados) grows older, he shares much of of the Yana people's knowledge about agriculture, spirituality and weaponry.
