Itazu Synopsis & Summary
Synopsis
The Japanese Forest of Little Bear is a neat crisis-of-conscience fable. A poverty-stricken family man makes a desperate bid at a quick financial turnover. A vicious bear has been terrorizing the countryside, and a price has been put on its head. Upon killing the bear, the man exults over the prospect of the huge reward. But the bear has left behind a cute, helpless little cub--and now the hunter feels like a criminal. Not really a family picture, Forest of Little Bear is nonetheless ideal Saturday-afternoon TV fare, and as such has been endlessly rerun by local UHF outlets. - Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
